GENERAL INFORMATION

Weather – Events run in most weather conditions. If in doubt you are welcome to phone and check before travelling, but unless we contact you to reschedule you should assume your event is running. We are open all year round

Clothing - Wear adequate clothing and footwear for an out door event, suited to the time of year, and the weather conditions on the day. While we do supply wet gear and wellies for adults, we do suggest you have your own in case they are not available in your size. Bringing a change of clothing is also advisable. Trainers are NOT acceptable, especially when the weather has been wet.

Be on time – Start time is the time agreed at booking, not the time of arrival. The later your group arrives, the shorter your remaining time slot will be. We ask all groups to arrive 30 mins prior to event starting. For health and safety reasons, individuals arriving late will not be able to join an activity if they have missed the safety briefing or tuition has commenced.

Age restrictions - currently no one under 16 may take part in Rage or Rage packages, or our Hovercraft Experience. All other activities are aged 10 and over, accompanied by an adult participant. All persons under the age of 18 will need the signature of a parent or legal guardian on disclaimer in order to take part.

Parking  - is entirely at your own risk. Keep your vehicle locked.

Valuables - Don’t bring jewellery or valuables with you. We do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage.

Insurance – Gamespark Ltd., t/a Out Doors and Dirty carries full liability insurance.

Pets – please don’t bring any. Guide dogs excepted.

Spectators - we welcome spectators of any age, subject to adult supervision of under 18s at all times. If you are booked for an event which does not include your youngsters, please have a spare adult with you for supervision purposes!

Off limits - May we respectfully remind you that any vehicles or equipment set out for an event, and course areas beyond fencing or tape are strictly off-limits to spectators of all age groups!

Alcohol – Alcohol is not permitted at the Gamespark. If you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance on arrival you may be refused entry, and your booking cancelled without refund.

Health – Please advise the office when booking and notify your Marshall on arrival of any medication, illness, special needs, disease or precondition suffered by you or another person in your party which could affect personal safety or the safety of others. All such information will be treated in strictest confidence.

In certain instances height and weight restrictions also apply. Where we consider an activity unsuitable for any member of your party we have no option but to exclude them from the activity.

Courtesy – please respect our Marshalls! If they make a request to you, it will be with your safety, and the safety of our staff in mind, so please comply.

Descriptions – All written, visual or verbal description of the activities, equipment, duration, facilities etc. is offered as a guide only. While every effort is made to supply the experiences as described, we reserve the right without prior notice to amend, alter or restrict any activity in the interest of your safety or that of our staff.

Location – refer to our map Ballyconnell is our postal address, and is the nearest town to the Gamespark. The Gamespark is in a rural location, ten minutes drive from the centre of Ballyconnell, passing through the village of Bawnboy. When calculating travelling time please allow for this.

Prices - ODD reserves the right to alter prices without notification although any changes will be highlighted at the time of purchase.

Disclaimer – on arrival, and before any event commences, we will ask you to read and sign a disclaimer. If you are booking on behalf of a group you should ensure these notes, disclaimer and our terms and conditions are made available to all members. If your party includes minors aged under 18 they must bring with them a disclaimer signed by parent or guardian in order to take part in any activity. Where we have been made aware of minors we will issue adequate disclaimers for signature in advance of your party’s arrival. Alternatively, a Youth Group Leader can sign on their behalf.

Facilities – as an ongoing development, some facilities at the Gamespark may not be fully completed prior to your arrival. If so, please excuse our appearance. Your event or your safety will not be impaired.

Photographs – You are welcome to take photographs during your day at the Gamespark, provided you keep within the activity safety zones and are aware we accept no liability for loss or damage to your camera/video/phone/. We welcome receiving images and comments from you of your day at ODD, so we can include visitor pages to our web site.

Web site links – are offered to assist you. We are making no recommendation of any business or product by including a link to their site, and we take no responsibility for the accuracy or suitability of the content. Tell us about other links which might be useful.

Complaints – we will always try to ensure you won’t have any, but if you do, it is essential you bring your complaint to the Marshall running your event immediately. If they cannot rectify the problem there and then they will ask you to make your complaint in writing, for the attention of Customer Services, The Gamespark, Brackley Lake, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan. You will receive a prompt response.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our standard terms and conditions apply in full to all bookings. If you do not accept these in full you may cancel your booking within 7 days of issue of booking confirmation with full refund, provided your booking was made more than 28 days before event date. We do not accept bookings less than 28 days ahead without verbal confirmation at time of booking that you have already read and agreed to our terms and conditions.

Booking terms

At the time of booking you will be asked to indicate the number of persons you wish to book for. Based on the information supplied we will then calculate the total sum payable, and request a minimum 50% deposit, payable by credit or debit card.

For large bookings we may accept deposit payments in two instalments, with the balance of the deposit payable by a pre-agreed date. In such instances, failure to pay the remaining deposit on time may result in cancellation of your booking without refund. Once a full 50% deposit has been received the balance can be paid on or before arrival.

We are happy to accept the balance by credit or debit card, bankers draft, postal order or cash. Please note we do not accept personal cheques

In the following instances you may be asked to pay in full on booking:

  • Bookings made 14 days or less before arrival
  • Bookings for minimum group size of 8 persons
  • Bookings which include accommodation

Group Size - For groups of up to 10 people or less, we may add another group to take part in the same activities.

Changes to your booking

We will accept one change of date, time, or activity if

  • We have 28 days notice
  • It is not already booked
  • It did not include payment for accommodation

We will apply a €25.00 administration fee per person for any further changes

Changes to your booking by us

For safety reasons we reserve the right to change the format of an activity without notice, which may differ from a description or image. On occasion we may not be able to provide the activity, and in such an instance will offer alternative activities to those booked.

If we have to offer an alternative activity to Rage Rally, Hovercrafting or live ammo clay pigeon shooting we will refund your deposit in full or offer you an alternative date if the replacement activity does not suit. We reserve the right to change all other activities without notice or refund when necessary.


Cancellation Policy:

28 days notice or more
full refund of deposit will be made, or the relevant portion offset against a final balance if group size is reduced.Where group size falls below a minimum shown on booking confirmation, no offset against a balance, or reduction in the balance will be given.

Less than 28 days notice
deposits will not be refunded for cancellation or offset against reduced numbers.

Up to 7 days notice

Notice of reduced numbers must be received by us no later than 7 days before the event, otherwise the balance due will be based on the original group size. The balance will not be adjusted to lower numbers on the day.


A charge of 50% of any balance due will be applied if the booking is cancelled.

No Show
Any outstanding balance will be charged in full, based on original group size, or final numbers as notified to us no less than 7 days before event date.

Cancellation by us

If for circumstances beyond our control we have to cancel your event, you will be notified as early as possible and offered a full refund or an alternative date. However we regret we’re not able to reimburse travel, accommodation or other costs incurred by you for an experience that is cancelled for any reason.

Late Arrival

Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time. Start time is the time agreed at booking, not the time your party arrives. The later your group, the shorter your time slot will be. Ensure you have allowed adequate travelling time, including the ten minute drive from Ballyconnell to the Gamespark itself.

For health and safety reasons, individuals arriving late may not be able to join an activity if they have missed the safety briefing or tuition has commenced. Your balance remains due in full regardless of time of arrival.

Dangerous Behaviour and/or Damage

ODD reserve the right to cancel your party’s activity without refund if inappropriate, dangerous, malicious, persistent or deliberate misbehaviour occurs within the group. The cost of repair for damage caused to property or equipment, either deliberately, or as a direct consequence of misbehaviour will be charged to the credit card of the person who made the booking. Organisers should therefore make all members of their party aware of this clause before arrival.

Exceptional Circumstances

Discretionary exceptions to the above terms and conditions may be made in exceptional circumstances; evidence of such circumstances may be requested.

Via N3

At Belturbet take 1st exit for Ballyconnell at roundabout just outside Belturbet where N3 finishes. About 10 – 15 miles. Drive down steep hill into Ballyconnell, over small canal bridge to a crossroads. Go straight over crossroads, following signs for Bawnboy and Swanlinbar. Will pass a Londis store on left. Drive through village of Bawnboy continuing on toward Swanlinbar. Will find a large lake appear on left, and a car park at Amenity Beach. Take 1st left after the car park, then left again where lane forks, on for 800m, Turn right into Gamespark’s lane located before Prospect Bay B+B.

Via Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh

From Derrylin, head for Ballyconnell. You will come into Ballyconnell from Derrylin through Main St. At the crossroads turn right, following signs for Bawnboy/Swanlinbar. Will pass a Londis store on left. Drive through the village of Bawnboy continuing on toward Swanlinbar and approx 1 mile later you will see a large lake appear on left, and a car park at Amenity Beach. Take 1st left after the car park, then left again where lane forks, on for 800m, Turn right into Gamespark’s lane located before Prospect Bay B&B.

Via Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim

At top of town take left fork marked Swanlinbar, DO NOT follow signs for Ballyconnell! Past a GAA ground, continue for approx 10 minutes until you come to a T junction called Derrynacrieve Junction. Take right turn at T junction. Take next right turn, about ¼ mile on, at small crossroads. (If you arrive at a lakeside car park you’ve missed it) Take left fork on lane, on for 800m, Turn right into Gamespark’s lane located between a new house and a B&B called Prospect Bay.

You are asked to read this document carefully, prior to joining any activity, and sign and date it at the bottom as confirmation that you have read, understood and agree with our terms and conditions. If you are unsure about any or all items you should ask for clarification before signing. You should not sign if you have any concerns, but we regret we cannot allow you to participate in those circumstances. A copy of this disclaimer will be forwarded to you on request, provided you have added your address to the bottom of the form at the time of signing.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Gamespark Ltd, its' Marshalls and all other staff

  • Will undertake to provide all participants with an enjoyable activity, subject to the safety and well being of everyone. Safety equipment/clothing will be provided, and you are required to use/wear it. Failure to make use of the equipment provided or to use it improperly will result in your being unable to participate. You are asked to inform a Marshall immediately if you believe any equipment supplied to you is damaged or faulty, so replacement items can be provided.
  • Will provide safety briefings and training prior to the commencement of each activity. You are asked to give these your full attention, and comply with all/any instructions given. If you have any doubts regarding the usage of the equipment or any instructions given you must inquire from the Marshall & seek full clarification before embarking on any activity. Since the physical nature of these activities does incur a risk of injury you should be aware that participation in all activities is entirely at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any injury, loss or damage howsoever arising whether caused by your own actions or the actions of others. All participants are recommended to have adequate personal accident insurance in place for all such activities/pursuits.
  • Will not be held responsible for any theft or loss of property while you are here. All valuable items should be left at home and all vehicles should be locked and secured. Use of the car park is entirely at your own risk and Gamespark Ltd and staff accept no responsibility for theft, loss or damage howsoever arising to vehicles, persons or property whilst on the premises.
  • will not permit alcohol/drugs on the premises, nor permit you to participate if you appear to be affected by same. You will not be entitled to any refund if you are refused admission as a result.
  • It is an express requirement of participation in the activities that all persons participating in the activities/pursuits or persons in the role of parent, guardian or carer of persons intending to participate in any pursuits/activities notify the Marshall of any medication, disability (mental/physical) illness, disease or medical condition of which you have suffered or complained of that could in any manner affect your safety or the safety of others or in any manner,shape or form impair your ability to participate in such activities/pursuits. You will not be entitled to any refund if you are refused admission as a result.
  • will ask you to keep long hair tied securely, to remove jewellery/scarves and to wear practical and suitable clothing and footwear, suited to the time of year and outside conditions. Gamespark Ltd will provide wet gear on request.
  • will cancel your group’s activity without refund if inappropriate, dangerous, malicious, persistent or deliberate misbehaviour occurs within the group. For your own safety, and in consideration of our neighbours and other participants, you are asked to keep within the boundaries of the park, and within activity waiting areas which shall be marked by fencing, tape or similar demarcation until called forward. Please keep to paths, respect any notices regarding access and do not drop litter.
  • may on occasion have to change /amend the activities booked, if weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen difficulties arise, and we also reserve the right to refuse admission.
